RomaKid are existing Isolation artist Michael Tickner, main man in Moth and guitarist/vocalist in Heliconia, and David MacPhail, whose previous band, Icer, provided Isolation with its first release.
The duo's brooding yet jagged electronica was first heard on Isolation EP Centre And Periphery back in 2004. More recently, RomaKid have released a self-titled album on Distant Noise Records.
Centre and Periphery
On Centre And Periphery, RomaKid took crunchy, scratched up programmed beats, chipped and looped guitar sketches and ambient drones, and produced something sounding kind of nervy, kind of dancey.
Remixes were provided by Akkadian, ex Icer guitarist, and Hink, former live guitarist with Kelli Ali (Sneaker Pimps) - who also provided the artwork.
The full track listing is:
Consume; Moukoko; Desert Base; Polit Skyala; Consume_Akkadian Remix; Desert Base_Hink Remix
